The Petitioner holds a Certificate of Competency: MEO Class 1 (Motor) issued by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). He is also a Chartered Engineer (CEng) recognized by the Engineering Council, UK, and a Fellow Member of the International Marine Engineering Science and Technology (FIMarEST), UK. Prior to his current role, Mr. Kamal served as the Technical Superintendent at Vanguard Maritime Limited, managing the technical operations of four geared bulk carriers.
